What is a Yopo gathering?

Yopo is a master plant that, from the beginning, has guided and taught us to build the path toward the celestial from within each being.

The Sikuani Yopo gathering focuses on the law of origin or ancient word, which explains the connection through permission and dialogue with the beings that inhabit this and other worlds. This word is the living teaching that endures from generation to generation thanks to the elders who preserve this wisdom, where there exists one thought and one heart.

The gathering is designed to connect with the plants of Tobacco, Capi and Yopo. By connecting with them, we establish a bond with our being and everything around us, releasing heaviness and allowing our hearts and minds to blossom. Then, through an energetic cleansing by the guide and healer, we are led to a space of clarity where we find understanding and contribute to the learning of life.

What is the Tsamanimonae Petaxunamuto?

The ritual dance Tsamanimonae Petaxünamuto is a spiritual expression that invites participants to ascend to the celestial realm. Through the ritual use of master plants such as yopo and caapi (Ayahuasca or yagé), along with continuous and repetitive spiral movement and the use of the maraca or tsitsito as an instrument to induce lightness, this dance creates a conducive environment for spiritual connection.

In our territory, this dance is held openly, allowing participation from people from various parts of the world. The Tsamanimonae, who were ancestral creators, used this dance as a means to reach the sky, bequeathing their knowledge to humanity.

The dance is led by the main healer, in this case, Grandfather Clemente Gaitán, along with the singers and other collaborators who care for the physical and spiritual well-being of the participants.

The intention of this dance is to achieve lightness. Throughout the year, there are different moments when the dance takes place; however, the major dance, accessible to the general public, is celebrated three times a year and lasts for three days. During these times, we gather with the elders in the house of thought or liweisibo, where we receive valuable teachings transmitted in the form of mythical stories and strengthen our connection with life and Mother Earth.

The new dawn retreat includes
